Sue Conley and Vivian Straus – Say Cheese!

Sue Conley – Co-founder of Cowgirl Creamery and Vivien Straus – Founder and Managing Partner of the California Cheese Trail. The “Trail” promotes artisan cheesemakers and family farmers, connecting cheese lovers to cheesemakers, cheesemaking classes, events, and tours throughout California.

Vivien grew up on her family’s dairy in Marshall. She ran away to Hollywood to become an actress until the cows wooed her back. She’s worked at Straus Family Creamery as V.P. of Marketing and later at Cowgirl Creamery, so she could eat cheese all day long. She now manages Straus Home Ranch, is on the Board of the Marin Agricultural Land Trust (MALT), and created California’s CheeseTrail.org, the only complete resource for California cheese makers. She’s also a writer/performer, recently performing the one-woman show After I’m Dead, You’ll Have to Feed Everyone, about her iconic mother, Ellen Straus, the co-founder of MALT.
