September 2023 Update:
Historic Trestle Reconstruction Project is moving very slow since it was designated one of Petaluma’s highest priority projects in March of 2022.
No updates since May on the City’s website: https://cityofpetaluma.org/historic-trestle-reconstruction/
The Trestle, deemed one of the City’s highest priority projects is still not listed as a project on the City’s Capital Improvement Program page: https://cityofpetaluma.org/capital-improvements-program/
After Mayor McDonnell’s directive to fund the Trestle, the final Petaluma City Budget did fund 1% of the Historic Trestle Reconstruction project in the City’s 5 year Capital Improvement Plan. Since our meeting with the City in April, PWC continues to offer our assistance with writing grants and holding community visioning meetings at our historic clubhouse.
Monday, October 2nd, the City staff will present the results of the material analysis of the Trestle structure at the City Council meeting.
Please attend and support the City moving forward on this high priority project.
